Adventurers Wanted! Within your guild hall lies the Quest Board, a list of adventures and bounties posted from officials from all over Drakkenfall. Here the hirelings of your Guild coordinate and claim dangerous undertakings and vast wealth for the betterment of the city personal gain of the Guild.
Quest Descriptions
Quest descriptions will give you a rundown of the quest's known contents, location it resides in, the quest giver or faction posting it to the board, and the reward should it be claimed and completed. Quests are categorized into Tiers 1-4. The higher the tier the more difficult the challenge, likewise represented by how far away the quest takes place from Drakkenfall as well as the wax seal imprinted on the posting (Tier 1 is green, Tier 2 is yellow, Tier 3 is orange, Tier 4 is red). Quests are also categorized by quest type which is sorted into 6 objectives: Cleanse, Delve, Expedition, Hunt, Investigation, and Raid.- Cleanse. A cleanse quest is comprised of travelling to a location, whether it be foreign or known, and defeating all enemies that the quest description details. These quests can be a simple extermination of a monstrosity nest, a battle against an enemy faction's scouting party, or the defense of a town under attack from adversarial warmongers.
- Delve. A delve quest is made up of quests that involve descending into a dungeon, those of any size from small to large, and searching for treasure, powerful artifacts, or mysterious secrets guarded by enemy combatants. A delve can take any length of time depending on the size of the dungeon, meaning the quest can take multiple incursions across adventuring days to reach its deepest depths. A delve can be exploring a notorious mega dungeon housing countless gold, diving deep into an ancient keep searching for a powerful artifact, or exploring a cavern network in hopes of capturing a magical aberration alive.
- Expedition. Expedition quests are those that involve scouting or thoroughly exploring an area on the surface with the end goal of searching for something or someone within its grounds or charting its deepest reaches. An expedition can take any length of time depending on the size of the location, meaning the quest can take multiple incursions across adventuring days to reach its core. Expeditions might be finding a magical plant within a forest for a local alchemist, searching the desert for a destroyed caravan housing noble blood, or traversing a mountain pass looking for an arcane landmark that a faction wishes to claim under their borders.
- Hunt. A hunt quest represents searching for and defeating a singular, powerful foe or leader of an enemy faction. These quests can be stalking a monstrosity through the countryside to its lair before slaying it, diving deep into the cavern lair of a dangerous aberration to deliver its head to a court mage, or standing toe to toe against a faction's leader at the base of his forward keep.
- Investigation. An investigation quest is comprised of learning the truth of a dangerous threat or discovering the unseen cause of a problem plaguing local townsfolk, usually within the grounds of a settlement. Investigation quests can be finding the source of dead livestock in dense farmland, searching for clues on who the culprit of a murder on a well-regarded noble is, and attempting to stop the quick uprising of a local cult or enemy faction before it takes over a local settlement.
- Raid. A raid quest is a battle against an immense foe that takes the combined strength of the Guild to defeat. Raids are exceptionally rare and often require more adventurers within the group than are usually permitted, making them both final sendoffs to questlines and an event that gathers nearly all of the members of the guild to undertake. Raids can be a final battle against a enemy warlords army at the gates of a capital city, the takedown of an ancient aberration and its servants within its lair at the bottom of a lake, or the sealing of a demonic gate as a powerful demon lord makes its way through.

Rise for the Pact, Adventurer's Guild, To the South, just before the vast fields of rust-stricken grass that we used to call home, lies the path through the Southern Mountains of the Wyvandir. Before the Grand Alliance's decision to uproot the ban on travel outside of the walls, we contracted a mercenary group of rangers to travel to the South pass and activate the drawbridge to the Barrens in preparation for our future arrival. They were gifted a magical keystone that would be used to force open the mechanisms within the gatehouse, yet these hirelings abandoned their duty to the Pact and cut communications with us shortly afterwards. Further hunting parties have tracked their whereabouts to a cave system just shy of the pass, attacking the exploration group as they ventured close to the cavern entrance. Nobody betrays the Pact without an equivalent exchange, and seeing as our ancestors risked life and limb for the ownership of this magical item, it is only fair we repay their limbs in kind.
