Reywick

Demographics

Reywick is home to many dwarves, as well as humans that pass through the mountain range. The city is tolerant of non-dwarvish races, but not welcoming. Traders and guides can be found in Reywick, as this city acts as a haven for anyone who is able to make it through the Wyvern Peaks.

Government

The city is ran by a baron named Emthran Farnir, a dwarf whose goal is to make sure trade continues on as normal. Reywick is a nationalistic province, meaning they are heavily in favor of supporting Iron Forge and the King. Any elves seen, will be captured and executed. Reywick enforces a five gold entrance fee into city, acting as a tax for the amount of traffic that would come in and out of the city.

Defences

Reywick has a small military at its disposal, however besides generally patrolling the city, they act as a military police to protect high ranking officials. Reywick also employees a number of skilled mercenaries and armed guards that had came into town, acting as hired muscle or those looking for work. The city also has a large wall that runs along it's perimeter to prevent hostile attacks, as well to prevent moochers trying to avoid paying the tax.

Industry & Trade

Reywick does not have many raw materials to exploit, however they do have access to a large forest that surrounds them. For this reason, lumberjacks and woodcarvers have become a very popular trade in the city, which feeds into the city's main service: taverns. As Reywick is situatied outside the Wyvern Peaks, anyone that makes it through will need a place to rest and unwind. Whether this be a round trip back to Winter's Pass, or a stop on the way to Port Barrowdell, a rest after a hard journey is welcomed, and that's where Reywick waits.

History

The city became thrust into conflict when a hostile entity known as Redav, sieged the settlement, which is now known simply as the Battle of Reywick. With his sword, a metal hilt that extended a blade of pure light, he lead an army of knights cladded in white armor towards the city. Reywick's guards and mercenaries, along with the help of the VVhite Lotus were able to repel the attack and save the city.

Architecture

The buildings are well constructed with beautiful wooden designs on their doors and shutters. Many of the interior decorations are also well crafted wooden furniture, making sure that people's rest are in luxury.

Geography

Past the Wyvern Peaks, most of Naldtocs has a frigid temperature. Snow is prominent year round, with varying levels of intensity. The city is surrounded on all sides by a forest of thick dark birch trees.

Natural Resources

Reywick aside from it's forests, does not have many natural resources. However, on the outskirts of town, livestock of cattle and sheep are raised to feed their inhabitants. Cabbage and carrots are also grown here, but most of their exotic spices and foods are brought in by other traders.
