The Great Dragons create the Dragonborn to act as embassies for The Great Dragons amongst the civilized realms.

The Dragonborn, were created to bridge the gap between The Great Dragons and civilization. The Great Dragons preferring to talk through the Dragonborn to the realms of Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, etc. instead of speaking with them directly. The Dragonborn have become prominent members of all society because of this. No ruler or government is not without a Dragonborn on their council, and the Dragonborn can often be found in institutes of knowledge and learning, getting great wisdom and insight from the Dragons themselves. The Dragonborn also help facilitate the collection of gold tributes given to The Great Dragons as offerings and thanks for their further involvement in protecting the world.   Their homeland has become the continent of Destra. The continent that they were legendarily created on.
