Draconia

The legends of Draconia tell of a cataclysmic event called “The Great Dying”. All records and memory from the time before The Great Dying is lost. No one really knows how or why The Great Dying happened, but it’s impact was felt all over the world of Draconia. To save all life, the gods banded together and created The Great Dragons. Life was able to continue and rebuild thanks to the power, magic, and intelligence of The Great Dragon’s.   As life began to prosper once more, The Great Dragons watched over the world, making sure no army got too large, no person hold too much power, no creature become too monstrous, maintaining balance between the elements and nature, all to prevent another great dying. The Great Dragons created other forms of dragons to help them watch over the world.   The Dragonborn, were created to bridge the gap between The Great Dragons and civilization. The Great Dragons perfereing to talk through the Dragonborn to the realms of Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, etc. instead of speaking with them directly. The Dragonborn have become prominent members of all society because of this. No ruler or government is not without a Dragonborn on their council, and the Dragonborn can often be found in institutes of knowledge and learning, getting great wisdom and insight from the Dragons themselves. The Dragonborn also help facilitate the collection of gold tributes given to The Great Dragons as offerings and thanks for their further involvement in protecting the world.
