The Cult of Beshaba worships goddess of misfortune and trickery, Beshaba.
Their wealth is hoarded to excess through the actions of servants and underlings in a network of thieves, assassins, and various miscreants who will never admit to any allegiance, rhyme, or reason in anything done in the name of their patron--in other words, they're not about to rat out the rich tieflings.
