General Summary

the party starts off in the home of Eli and her daughter, after locating Thirstin. The family saw him wandering out and took him in. Now the party rests in her home.
Honey sticks and dried eel given to little girl by lysander and 5gp to the daughter.
As Eli makes breakfast for the group she lets them know the can stay as long as necessary and is interrupted by a knock on the door. a neighbor lets her know that the lockdown is over and that the guards are looking for people from the surface in connection with a creature attacking a guard (possibly lion). He knows she is harboring them and is giving her the heads up.
The party sneaks out a side entrance and hear a Dwarf yelling at some guard about how he is going to get his son back. He hands the guard a whole pouch of gold and says he has paid his fine and let him through. The group gets the dwarf's attention and say they will help him get his son back. They push past the guards and go out into the abandoned city. Find the boy, and rescue him. But it is a trap.
they are ambushed by mind flairs and some Trogodyles who are under mind control. The group fight and try to run away but lose the father's friend Justin to one of the mind flayers. His brain gets eaten out.
