Zavari Blaze
(a.k.a. The Instigator)
Depending on who you ask, Zavari is either a valiant leader for a people in crisis or a bit problematic. She was instrumental in leading the darkborn out of bondage and founding their new colony of New Haven under the auspices of the gold dragon Aurilex. However this location was not her first choice. Zavari is a member of the Church of Conflagration and a bit of a fanatic to boot. Her stated view is that she and her kinsmen did not ask to be brought into this world and it is wholly unfair for them to be treated as social pariahs by the other races for acts that were not committed of their own free will. This is how she gets others to follow her, she starts out fairly reasonably. However things quickly go sideways, as she says the solution is for Inferno to cleans the world in righteous fire and when the pieces are being put back together the darkborn will be on the same footing as everyone else. It is very much the standard talking points of the Church applied to her specific circumstance. They are not labeled a “doomsday cult” without merit. Naturally, calling for a complete upheaval of society is not a great way to make friends or influence the people supposedly in need of “cleansing.” There are many who see her vocal minority as directly detrimental to the goal of integrating the darkborn into the wider community in which they now find themselves.
