Thunderbeasts

Named not for any sort of magical ability, but rather for the sound one makes when charging an opponent. Typically moving in small herds of less than ten, they wander aimlessly across the open fields grazing on grasses and ferns. Though completely herbivorous, a thunderbeast’s poor eyesight means it has difficulty differentiating friend from foe from random boulder, so they have a tendency to charge anything they perceive might be a threat. This is an effective strategy for keeping away predators and people foolish enough to think to tame one, but also means they frequently hurt each other or themselves.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Covered in thick, calloused skin they almost appear armored. Their large, forked, nose horn is not sharp, but they can put a tremendous amount of force behind it, making it a very effective weapon.
