Thalian Stilleaf

(a.k.a. The Swordsage)

Ancient, almost beyond measure, Thallan Stilleaf is a highly accomplished mage, artist, scholar, and philosopher. But above all else as the leader of the elven blademasters he is possibly the greatest swordsman alive. Though he has studied far and wide with numerous weapons he still prefers the single edged longsword of his people. His ability to weave the movements of his weapon and body together with his spellcraft is truly a sight to behold. Though his movements are practiced and precise they are still ever fluid and adaptable to those of his opponent. When he fights it appears more as a dance than perhaps anything else. But he is far from one who seeks out conflict or opponents to test his mettle. Instead he spends much of his time meditating, reading, and discussing matters of state and substance with his peers of great renown. He does keep a number of apprentices with whom he trains daily but once again he teaches them to be more than warriors. His blademasters are to be champions of peace just as much as war, an idea he makes sure to instill deeply. Thallan certainly seems content to continue his life the way it is for centuries. Woe to the man or beast that takes him away from his home and back onto the battlefield.
