Percy Ferrier
(a.k.a. The Violet Knight)
Sir Percival "Percy" Ferrier is a nice enough guy for being a minor lord from a minor house. He grew up rich enough to be privileged, but not so rich as to have everyone around him fawning over his every word and deed. His father could afford good tutors and fencing coaches, but he was not taught by sages or sword masters. As such he is certainly well read and a capable fighter, but not near the top of anyone's list of political masterminds or great warriors.
But Sir Percy makes up for his lack of outstanding abilities by being a seemingly upright man. He does little to lord his position of privilege over others, but is quick to buy you a drink on a night out. In fact he is probably too quick to buy anyone a drink, especially himself. Percy is known to have a bit of a drinking and gambling streak, and a slight weakness for members of the fairer sex. A rumor about Silverspire is that his cousin, Rikkard, gives him an allowance to help curtail his potential spending on wine and women. A someone what scandalous rumor contests that the same cousin sent him out of Silverspire to keep him away from a particular lady of the night Percy had become too enamored with. The official story is that Percy is in Bluespire promoting the family's interests and making trade inroads with the merchants in town, which he does seem to actively be doing, so perhaps those rumors do not hold water.
All in all Sir Percy seems to be a good man. Certainly not a perfect man, but just being good can be enough to place him far above many of his peers.
