Naethyra Verdensea

(a.k.a. The Jade Captain)

Normally Deep Seers are hired by captains for sea voyages to avoid run-ins with terrors of the deep. But Naethyra has skipped that step by earning enough coin to buy her own ship and work as captain and seer. Famous for having lost an eye, but never having lost a ship, she has garnered a reputation as an excellent sailor and fierce fighter. She is also known for having somewhat flexible morales, taking merchant and privateering contracts in equal measure. For the right price, her ship and sword can be bought. Her other notable features are in her appearance: her eyepatch and glowing, green tattoos. Perhaps no group enjoys rumors and tall tales so much as sailors, and hers are especially lofty. The story goes that she lost the eye in an encounter with Leviathan itself. She was only a deckhand at the time and the ship’s seer had gone mad and embraced the void. Rather than go down with the ship, supposedly Naethyra made a pact with the Primordial. The terms are unknown, but supposedly this is the source of her ability to avoid calamity ever since. What might the Lord of Water have asked her to give in return, and when will they come to collect?
