Lieutenant of the Legion and Hobgoblin Representative in Chief (a.k.a. The Diplomat)

As the hobgoblins try to ingratiate themselves with the peoples of the kingdoms of the dragon blessings, they need leaders who can represent them and put their best collective foot forward. The foremost of those representatives is Lieutenant Daklok, semi official spokesman for the hobgoblin race. Whenever diplomatic missions are sent out to seats of power in other nations, Daklok is a member of the party, along with drahkai ambassadors who will do most of the talking, and a mixed guard of hobs and drahkai. The two primary goals for the time being are to normalize the presence of hobgoblins at the proceedings and for Daklok and his retinue to learn about the ins and outs of the political scene. Occasionally he will be invited to speak by one of his drahkai countrymen or asked a question by a member of a foreign delegation, and be allowed to give his input. Unfortunately most of these questions are still pointed toward his people’s history as slaves to Cerelea and looking for him to have some insight into the enemy’s movements or motivations in spite of the fact that he was born and raised a free man in the Brightgrass Sea and has never set foot in the blue dragon’s lands. Still he fields the questions with grace and a smile, knowing any participation is a positive step for himself and his people. He reminds himself the arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice. But sometimes he wishes it was a bit shorter and more sharply bent.
