Kye Breakspear
Admiral of the Free Islands (a.k.a. The Ashen Corsair)
"Mountainborn" and "infamous pirate captain" are not words that are generally closely associated, but in the case of Kye Breakspear they very much are. Small and lithe by her people's standards, Kye still towers over most other races and is intimidatingly strong. She had sailed the Straight of Sorrows since the fall of Sunsong, looting passing vessels unfortunate enough to cross her path. However she took on a new duty with the rise of the independent Free Islands, becoming "admiral" of their combined navy. This title is rather dubious, as the commander of a bunch of pirate ships and smugglers' vessels does not exactly possess a reliable force. Still, should a significant threat loom on the horizon it would fall to Kye to organize the naval defenses. Kye was invited to her position by Vasa Freeflow, mayor of Libertine. Vasa's position is also quite tenuous, but the two seem to possess a mutual respect which bolsters one another's claims and at least stabilizes the politics of the islands a bit.
If and when Syridia calms down and trade ramps back up across the sea, will Kye be able to resist the siren song of loot and plunder and stay in her relatively plush, new position or will she set sail once again for danger and adventure?
