Giantsbane

Seemingly grown out an ancient tree and formed around the great, green gemstone at its head, one could be forgiven for struggling to classify this mighty weapon as a staff or a club. On one hand its strength and weight make it an intimidating bludgeon, but on the other hand simply being in its presence fills one with the sense of its weight in the arcane sense. Too long and thin to be a traditional great club and perhaps too robust for a wizard's staff, the wiser move might be to disregard classification and resort to studying it outright to best understand how exactly it works. This weapon of a bygone era outpaces most of its modern counterparts; modern craftsmen would do well to learn from its construction.
