Earl Dominic Frye
Earl of Last Mooring (a.k.a. The Angler)
Taking advantage of Earl Portwright's financial troubles and his own family's sterling reputation, Duke Jonas Frye was able to secure a political marriage for his nephew Dominic which inserted him as the new Earl of Last Mooring. Lord Dominic is young enough to be hale and vigorous, yet old enough to possess the wisdom and experience needed for his station. Considering he is somewhat of an outsider to the town his new subjects have accept him well enough, though behind his back they call him his uncle's lap dog and name him "The Angler" for the way he secured his bride and office. Those most loyal or most favored by House Portwright are likewise by their former lord's supplanting by this young upstart. But Dominic takes these criticisms in stride, preferring to win hearts and minds with his words and actions. He has set about improving the town's static defenses against raiders, a popular move, though supposedly funded by Duke Jonas' coin. Still, under his watch the people are fed, employed, and feel safe in their beds at night, a claim relatively few of their counterparts across the Imperium can make.
