Dragon Rider, Captain of the Guard of Far Harbor (a.k.a. Wolfsbane)
As a young man Donnel Frye was sent by his father to learn from Earl Solon Pointe in the ways of lordship, warcraft, sailing, and more. The old warrior taught Donnel sternly, as is his way, but the young lord was a dutiful student and the two are said to be on excellent terms. During his studies Donnel made a name for himself as an excellent swordsman and capable military commander repelling attacks from across the sea. Most famously he fought Fenrix Whitemaw in single combat when the lycan's forces were trying to board a ship of House Pointe. Young Donnel not only escaped with his life, a rarity against the "Sea Wolf," but he managed to add to the towering raider's collection of scars with a new, glowing mark on their snarling snout.
He later took Lord Pointe's lessons back home with him, assuming the position of captain of the guard in Far Harbor. He and his father have since improved the coastal defenses of the city, as well as bolstering the naval presence of House Frye across the Reaver's Reach. For his stalwart service to the Empire Donnel was promoted by Argostan the Resolute to the coveted rank of dragon rider, pairing the young man with the silver dragon, Demios. It seems likely that Solon put a good word in for the lad, seeing as his niece is the Dutchess of Silverspire and Argostan's second in command. What is more, Demios was paired with Lord Solon's son before the latter was slain by thal raiders, so many view Donnel's appointment as a kind assumption of the late Lord Pointe's mantle. Now the pair fly the northern coasts of East Farthing patrolling for enemy vessels, which they are known to sink themselves if they catch one out on its own.
It is unclear what the future holds for Donnel Frye. He is first in line to inherit his father's seat in Far Harbor, but though Duke Jonas is old, he is still strong of arm and sharp of mind. Some have suggested Donnel take over the Earlship of Breaking Pointe with the heirless Lord Solon dies, though the town has had a Pointe as its lord for the entirety of its history. Still others would see him move to Silverspire as its lord general, or even have him marry Lady Margery Pointe, Dutchess Serena's younger sister. Whatever path he walks, and whether it is of his own choosing to do so, it is sure to worthy of The Record.
