Dolph Dustbeard

(a.k.a. The Archeologist)

Though less prolific and ubiquitous than his partner, Aramis "the Naturalist," Dolph is still very much a highly regarded researcher in academic circles. Though the long peace of the Dragon Age has allowed many cultures to build more, grander structures, those new works still sit on the bones of their predecessors. Dolph delves down into the dark depths hidden beneath the world's shiny veneer looking for relics and signs of ages past. He is especially interested in the remnants of the Dawn Age and early Giant Age, before the formation of the Order of the Chroniclers, when records are much more sparse and less reliable. The old adage goes that "victors write the histories" and he hopes to shed more light on events which have potentially been influenced by being told by those victors rather than an impartial source.   Like his partner, Dolph's attachment to the Order of Chroniclers seems to be more about convenience than devotion to Primus. Being a Chronicler gets him into ruins and catacombs he may have otherwise been barred from entering. Instead, his fixation seems to be on uncovering the truth, an ideal ostensibly shared by the Chroniclers, even if their path to that end veers through faith along the way.   Dolph's current areas of interest lie in the south. He wishes to venture into the former miridian kingdoms now collectively referred to as "The Boneyards" to document whatever aspects of those human and dwarf cultures remain before they are destroyed by gnolls and barbarians. He would also like to travel to Syridia and document as much of the ruins of the Sunsong Empire as he can before they are further corrupted by their new inhabitants.
