Brightgrass Sea

The domain of the Elder Dragon Blessing of Calm might certainly appear in lockstep with its mistress, but the credit belongs to its order and rigorous structures. First, it is important to establish that the “Sea” in question here is not made of water, but rather a reference to the fields of grain and prairie grass which cover the majority of the territory. Though lacking the overall expanse necessary to rival Silverspire in crop output, the Brightgrass Sea produces at least as much food as Somerset, and more that anywhere else in the Imperium. Every adult citizen of the region is a member of Ferritrix’s Holy Legion, either active or retired. As such everyone, every baker, blacksmith, farmer, and philosopher has a military rank and answers to those higher in the chain of command. Foreigners are permitted visas to stay and work within the bounds of the territory, so long as they continue to prove their utility to the Legion.   The majority of the citizenry are drahkai and, more recently, hobgoblins. The hobs’ story of escaping bondage and seeking redemption for deeds committed under the orders of an evil mistress reminded the drahkai of their own shared history, and made finding it in their hearts to take the goblinoids into their homes an easier task. Now the groups strive to merge their cultures into a cohesive whole while also rehabilitating the view of hobgoblins in the eyes of their allies.
