Basilisks

One of the more creative amalgamations, it is not entirely clear what pieces were put together to form a basilisk. It obviously started with a titan snake, but then something with feathers was added, as they have feathered crests on the back of their heads. The rest of the appearance is consistent with titan snakes; around fifty feet long, three thousand pounds, and green or gray scales. The snake venom has been intensified to be lethal in about twenty seconds, and most curiously basilisks have the magical ability to paralyze foes who meet their gaze. It seems as though they cast a curse initiated through eye contact, as it can be dispelled through means similar to curses from other origins. Perhaps they were created as guardians of some treasure, as they can live for centuries and can go months or even potentially years between meals.
