Resurrection chamber 3A4+

Entry #004

One of the eleven resurrection chambers of the Well, the third of sector A leading to floors 4 and above. As per galactical policies, organesque production is severely regulated. Lab-grown organic matter cannot be directly fed gravitational accelerators, and no living either except by accident. Such "accidents" are commonplace in the Well, so frequent that there wouldn't be any inmate in less than a week if left unchecked.

Resurrection chambers are the best solution to this loophole the head warden could come up with. One tub can grow a fully adult human body in about two weeks, using a tenth of the organesque it will eventually produce. If they have enough credits, an inmate can upload its consciousness in the case of their demise. After falling down the well, their identity is recovered and put into a queue to be then downloaded into the next mature body.

Resurrection chamber 3A4+ contains 140 growing tubes, five of them being irreparrably broken, and another 43 inactive due to a fault in the power grid. A part of the wall is ripped open, leading to the abandoned Sector A Maintenance Office. Being resurrected here is synonym of bad luck. Due to the abandonement of this chamber in particular, the odds of having a malformed body or turning psychotic upon waking up are greatly increased, as well as other defects that may not be immediately visible but come to bite the inmates at the worst timing.
