Central Control Room

Entry #005

Unlike what its name suggest, the Central Control Room is far from the centre of the Well. It is actually a ring circling around the lowest floor. The open space is like an endless open space where office workers and bioinformaticians manage the administrative and technical tasks required to keep the prison going on. About 750 crewmembers are working at all times, with about 350 others resting or relaxing. A constant rotation is needed, as the ship never truly sleeps.

The room is clad with desks and high-end computers, all connected to the server rooms below. Biologists and technicians sometimes double as administrators, receiving a comfortable raise in exchange for their almost constant work. The control room tasks range from managing the organesque production and export to the monitoring of the jail's interior. The only part they are not responsible for is the ship navigation, which is the responsibility of the Main Brige. In all other matter, it is rightly considered the beating heart of the vessel.
