Persona Brand

A special type of sword, a Persona Brand gains its appearance and powers based on the first person to use it. A person can only own one Persona Brand at a time, and cannot unlock a second one unless their original is destroyed.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

A Persona Brand begins as an unformed sword. When a person without a Persona Brand first picks up and wields one in this state, they unlock the sword's potential. Through this unlocking, the sword gains its final appearance, and also a power, both of which derive from the mind of the first wielder. In the process, the user and the Persona Brand become linked, and the user cannot unlock another sword unless the original is destroyed and the bond is severed.

Significance

Because a Persona Brand is linked to its original master, it can give a unique insight into this person. The power and form the sword acquires is related to the wielder, their fighting style, their desires, and their overall personality.
