Dreadnought
Admiral Dreadnought
Dreadnought is a powerful pirate king, sailing the skies of TGC. Always on the hunt for new victims, he captures airships when he can, killing those on board and enslaving the survivors.
Physical Description
Facial Features
With a long, braided beard, and deep, inset eyes, it's difficult to see his pale face, especially underneath his tricorne hat, sizeable facial hair, and the large collars of his cloak and coat. One of his eyes has been replaced with a Tristram Stones.
Special abilities
Darkness Control
Dreadnought, being the leader of the infamous band of pirates known only as the Dark Wraiths, has control over the darkness itself, he can blot out the light, snuff fires, and perhaps most dangerously, speak to and possibly bring out the innate darkness in an enemies soul, should they fall victim to his logic and power. When a battlefield is enveloped in pitch black, he is at his strongest.
He can utilize tendrils of darkness to ensnare or attack enemies, forcing his foes to be wary of dark spots in the room. However, he is unable to use the shadows of living things against them, unless the living target has already succumbed to the darkness.
Ability Scan
Through the Tristram stone embedded in his eye, much like Nitro and the other Galahad members, Dreadnought can “absorb” other elements.
The type of energy absorbed will “keep” it’s properties while stored. Fire attacks will remain as fire, cryogenic attacks will retain their freezing properties, etc. Most notable elements include:
Fire
Water (includes ice)
Light (includes electricity)
Earth
Wind
Black Wind
Dreadnought, through his WIND ability scan, is able to summon a "dark winds" of sorts, and able to direct them to snuff out some sources of light. Giving him some control over other ships or arenas. Largely ineffective against electrical light sources.
Prior to his invasion, Dreadnought also had access to:
The Dark Serpent: When Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, it is said that it was a Serpent who tempted them into sin, and caused the fall of man. Dreadnought's ace in the hole was a massive winged serpent, black in color, and completely under his command. The Serpent itself had a number of powers, but also immense strength, able to drag even larger airships down to the earth below, and often into the depths of the ocean.
The Dark Serpent was defeated, at least temporarily, in the events of the Dark Winds arc. With it gone, Dreadnought’s power was notably diminished, bringing him down to average jumper strength in terms of the scope of his abilities.
With the Dark Serpent, Dreadnought also had:
Enhanced Black Wind
The same as the Black wind, but bringing in incredibly dense storm clouds to smother the sun or moonlight when outdoors. Additionally, this wind seems to seek out and snuff any source of light it can. Knocking over lanterns and shattering them, snuffing out flames. This ominous premonition is consistent throughout any stories of the Ghost Ship.
Empathetic connections
Being well attuned to the dark, Dreadnought has the ability to see into people's deepest reaches. He resonates strongly with feelings like hate, vengeance, jealousy, and rage, and these feelings feed his power. In exceptionally strong cases, he can bend the target’s will to his own.

Apparel & Accessories
In addition to his tricorne hat, cloak, and coat, Dreadnought wears what appears to be a leather gauntlet on his right hand, and a metal one, wrapped in chains, on his left.
Specialized Equipment
Dreadnought mostly battles wielding a massive scimitar with his right arm, however he also has access to several tools such as smoke bombs, and a number of firearms strapped to his chest, only to be used as a last resort, due to his dislike of the light they cause.

Personal history
Amongst the sky sailors of TGC, there exist tales of a vessel, haunting the skies. While "just a story", there have oft been mysterious and unexplainable attacks on transport and military vessels alike. Entire ships have been found with what appears to be no struggle, just the crew and cargo missing entirely.
This "Ghost Ship" is said to be the vessel of the Dark Wraiths. A band of Pirates so fearsome they are feared by many as just a legend. In all the stories, not only is the cargo taken, but the crew as well, leading to many rumours about what the pirates do with their prisoners.
Dreadnought was one of the “lucky” 6 to have been chosen for “The Galahad Project”. While the basic elements (wind, earth, fire, water) were all relatively easy to induce, darkness and light were significantly more dangerous. Dreadnought, due to his imposing physical stature and (at the time) strong mental fortitude, was chosen for the darkness induction. However, it would be considered a colossal failure, and Dreadnought would escape from the science vessel, taking a life pod to a nearby planet, TGC. It was there he formed his crew, and his legends slowly grew, as he drew from a slumbering ancient power on the planet that was aligned with his newfound power.
After his defeat during the events of the “Dark Winds” arc at the hands of the jumpers, Dreadnought was stranded. Grasping with his newly weakened powers, he did all he could to survive, until one day, the skies themselves went pitch black. While not as strong as he was from the Serpent’s power, Dreadnought felt invigorated, and made a move for revenge against the jumpers. Moving on the city, despite the artificial light, he encountered Deadeyee in a park, and lost to the jumper, before escaping. Eventually, he would encounter Penance, and granting her a chance to escape from Shadowbolt’s custody, the two became temporary allies.
