Commander Conner Grist

Commander Conner Grist (a.k.a. Commander)

Commander Grist headed up the specialist Konnun Infranty Scout Unit during the Unity War between the Imperium and Skovland. A brave and decorated veteran of the war, Grist is known among veterans of both sides of the war as being a savvy tactician, strong of heart, and about as brave as any of the heroes of the war.   Grist was known as a Commander who led from the front, never shy to roll up his sleeves and get into the trenches with his soldiers. Already a career reconnaissance specialist, by the time the war broke out, Grist was already stationed well behind enemy lines with the Konnun Infantry Scout Unit performing recon and sabotage missions upon supply lines.   Conner didn't start out his adult life as a soldier, however, it wasn't until his parents were murdered by an Imperial political suppression squad that he volunteered for the Skovlan Military. Prior to his illustrious career in the military he was a stone mason, just as many of the men in his family were.   Grist is an honest, moral, and quick-witted man. He was given the nickname "The Wolf of the North" by the Imperial soldiers. He would often lead his soldiers on weeks long missions after his quarry and coordinate absolutely devastating and fiendishly complex military traps for his enemies; often taking on foes of much greater military strength. He simply knew where to hit his enemies in their weakest places, and when to withdraw. His tactics were known for their quick, lightning precision. Much like a wolf, he took down his prey with small and many-sided attacks.   Now that the war is over, Grist has taken to living in the district of Charhollow in Duskvol. There he makes a meager living as a dock foreman and resides and takes care of the survivors of the Konnun Infantry Scout Unit at a chapterhouse lovingly called "The Barracks". He has seen many horrors in his life before, during, and after the war. These memories have made him cautious and slow to trust.   Grist, during the last week of the unit's capture and torture, ended up losing his legs and is now confined to a wheelchair.
