Church of White Light

The Church of White Light is an order dedicated to the worship of Camua. Many of its priests are seers and prophets and the Church is said to hold many secrets about the future of Dorwine and its people. The Church has two physical locations:

The Sanctuary of White Light - the main chapter house of the Church and the centre of administration. This is the public-facing location for the Church.
The Abbey of White Light - the home of the various seers and prophets of the Church. This is a place of private reflection and study.

Structure

Uriel is the head of the church and is Camua's representative in the mortal realm. The power of prophecy is such that she has sent her solar to make sure that it is used wisely. Beneath Uriel are the heads of the Sanctuary of White Light and the Abbey of White Light - Biri Prexijandlin and Tydor Foamtankard respectively.

Culture

The members of the church are kindly but reasonably close-lipped. They carry the secrets of past and future and must make sure that this knowledge is only used appropriately. Many find them cryptic and mystical in their outlook.

Public Agenda

The Church seeks to preserve the sanctity of prophecy and to make sure that it is only used to follow good ends. This makes them tireless campaigners for good and truth.

History

The Church was said to have been founded by Uriel at the behest of his goddess. The first High Priestess was Tahra and the first paladin of the Church was Hihor the Soldier

Worship

Members of the Church gather for prayer and worship known as "prisons" at dawn and dusk. These are often (especially in the two major institutions)accompanied by huge elaborate choral hymns.
