The Argens Empire

The Argens Empire is the main centralized power on the Colric Continent. Originating from a City State known as Argentia, Emperor Hector the I and his daughter Empress Marina the I were able to unite all the five great city states and small kingdoms of Colric under its banner. Currently, Emperor Felix the II, rules with an iron fist and looks to expand South of the Tan-Gul River and across the world to new continents. Despite their military might, the Argens Empire is known to be kind to those they have conquered, leaving their governments in place and allowing their populations freedom of religion. As one of the most powerful centralized forces of power in the world, the Argens Empire is not something to be ignored.

History

The Argens Empire began when Emperor Hector the I first took control the city-state of Argentia. All the city-states and small countries on the continent of Colric had raided each other and fought over resources, but none had ever fought to overtake their opponents city. When the City of Yengal settled a village on a gold vain that Hector was interested in, he demanded that the Yengalians leave. When they refused, Hector simply used his superior military and technology to take the village. Realizing that this was an effective way to claim resources, Hector the I spent the second half of his reign expanding his influence. But it wasn't until his daughter, Empress Marina the I took control that the Argens Empire truly transformed into the military juggernaught that it is today. Under Marina, the Argens Empire conquered every opposing kingdom and settled new cities across the entire Colric Continent up to the Tan-Gul River. Now under Hector the II, the empire has it's sights set on crossing the river, conquering and settling The Zantal and then sailing to continents unknown.

Military

The Argens Empire has an incredible powerful Military. Argentians are known for their discipline, tactics and skill, along with superior technology. Every Argentian soldier wields a medium sized spear, a large bronze rectangular shield, a small hand crossbow and a long dagger. The Soldiers work in groups of 50 and are trained to follow commands incredibly effectively. Every city controlled by the empire has at least 4 groups of fifty soldiers to demonstrate the Empire's might. Individual city states within the empire have their own military, although none are as impressive. Those governments are expected to send levies to join the Argentians in their conquests.

Currency

The Argens Empire has an official currency known as a Crown which can be used all through out the Empire. All of the various conquered city states use there own currencies, although as time passes, the Crown becomes more prominent. Crowns come in three sizes, the smallest size has a Rawl (a small bird of prey) printed on it. The medium coin, which is worth 10 small coins has a print of Emperor Hector the First and the largest coin is worth 50 small coins and has a print of Empress Antonia the I.
