Knot
Knot is the former king of Gilramore, the biggest and most popular city in Azune, where all of the non-humans and humans alike live in harmony. Knot is a wise, smart, and old tabaxi, that ruled the kingdom for 28 years already. Because of that, and the fact that tabaxis don't live that long compared to other races, Knot's life is coming to a soon end. With that in mind, other parties are already trying to decide who will be the next king, causing a lot of disagreement.
Different from the past kings of Gilramore, Knot didn't come to power through the lineage or money, he became the king using his incredible intelligence and cunningness. He used his persuasion skill to gain contacts and turn from a nobody to a king in a matter of 3 years. Because of that, he is hated and loved by many. Loved by the ones who respect his effort to become the king and hated by those who think the king should be decided through lineage. And even if Knot has a good and comfortable life now, he used to be in a miserable state in the early days of his life.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Knot is in a very poor physical condition. Because of his age, his muscles and bones are getting weaker, he has less and less energy to do activities and sometimes collapses when he is not in bed. Luckily, he doesn't have any major disease, so he still has some years of life, but no one knows if he will still be stable in the next morning. Although Knot has a fairly strong build in the past, now he is fragile and grimm.
Body Features
Knot is a tabaxi with brown fur covered black spots and a long tail. His left ear is cut in half and he has a small cut scar close to his right eye. Knot shows signs of a body that was once strong but has fallen to a very delicate shape. He has dark brown eyes, that are always half closed, as Knot is very sensible to light at this age. He has lots of wrinkles close to the nostrils, mouth and eyes, that show how old he is.
Identifying Characteristics
Differently than other tabaxis, Knot has a severed left ear and is a little bit smaller than your average catfolk. Not only that, but he always walks in blue long robes, with golden details and elven pattern. He also always stays with his trusty staff, that he uses both as a walking stick and to cast spells when necessary. The staff is a 1,5m tall and is made out of blueish wood, with golden engravings and metal parts. On the top, there is a bright purple gem, that seems to shed a dim light.

Personal history
Knot was born in the suburbs of Gilramore, while the king Adnik was ruling the kingdom. Differently than Knot himself, Adnik was not as wise and smart, so the kingdom was through a very bad situation. There were a lot of homeless and the economy of magic items was descending by the day. His family was poor, and the fact that the kingdom of Gilramore was destructured at the time only made the situation worse. At the age of 5, his mother died of disease and he had to live with his older brother. Those years were hard, they had to make anything in their power to try to survive. But even then, Knot was very cunning and smart, always exceeding everyone's expectations.
Given the situation of the city, Knot decided to make the difference, and with his incredible intelligence and charisma, he managed to go up the ranks and confront the king himself. He managed to make the population go against Adnik, demanding that Knot were the king instead. Although slow and rough, they managed to make Knot king and exile Adnik, a decision considered to be extreme by some. After Knot had the crown, he ruled the kingdom as he wanted it to be ruled. He made the infrastructure better, boosted the economy, incorporated more magic into the day-to-day life of the citizens, and overall just made things better. But this era of prosperity is coming to a soon end.
Mental Trauma
Knot is very self-aware, and because of that has problems trusting other and even himself. He doesn't have confidence in what he does and most of the time thinks things like "I'm not worthy of this title", "I shouldn't be king", "These people are too good for me", etc. And this situation only got worse after he became bedsick. The people are fighting over the title of the king, and that's his faul, he is the one responsible for this. If only he could be able to live more and delay these conflicts. That is what is always going through Knot's head.

Motivation
Knot's motivation is to make Gilramore, his home, the better it can be. Since he became king, he forced himself to become the perfect king, that will be able to please everyone. That is his sole objective, to make Gilramore the perfect place.
Likes & Dislikes
Knot dislikes most of the other politicians of Gilramore, as he knows they are not good-hearted and will put the city to ruins for their selfish reasons as soon as they get a chance. Although few know this, Knot likes maids a lot. He has 5 of them roaming the house and helping him in his daily needs and sometimes pretend to be incapable of doing something just to spend more time with them.

Religious Views
Differently than what you would expect froma leader who has the support of the population, Knot is actually an agnotheistic, on other words, he belives in the existence of gods and devils, but doesn't pray to any of them.

Knot is a very humble man, that never gets angry and has a calm and imposing voice at the same time.
Wealth & Financial state
As expected from a king, Knot is one of the most wealthy men in the city, having a considerable amount of gold, various magic items, and a total of 10 people guarding him at all times, assuring that no one comes to harm him, considering recent events regarding the next king. Besides that, Knot also has 5 of maids, that help him with daily needs, such as cleaning, making food, and other activities that now require help because of his age.
