Personal history
During the music that gave shape to Doriand, Cerdoriath focused more on melody than rhythm. As other día created movements and theme with their rhythms, she would play melodies exploring the nuance of their themes, accentuating particular components of the music as it developed. Rather than trying to understand the greater beauty of the music, she looked for way to play with the details, not quite seeing the forest through the trees.
As the Día stepped back from their creation, her gods and avatars were sent into the world in order to further the pursuit of knowledge and exploration of magic for magic's sake. Those who follow her precepts value the finding of knowledge and exploration of magical arts as a worthy end unto itself. Deepening understanding is what she encourages, separate from any greater purpose for that knowledge. As such, her gods and avatars run the gamut of alignment, though they tend toward neutral. Information can be used to many ends, and magic can be bent toward any purpose - but for her it is the purpose itself.
Morality & Philosophy
Cerdoriath doesn't seek for mortals to use their magic or knowledge for any specific purpose, simple to delve deeper in understanding and learn what they can. It is up to them what they use that knowledge for, and that is the point of this greater experiment that is Doriand.
