Dor’Tam and the planes around it

Dor'Tam takes place in a world with 9 planets and over 70 countries, but the main world is the Material Plane. On it sits 13 regions and 65 of the countries. This world is a complex network of alliances and histories that span 10,000 years.

The world is a cooperative storytelling opportunity where the players have just as much impact on the world as the DM. They can define countries, histories, and the entire world with their decisions as they shape the world with the DM. Most recently, the rise of a dark age caused the Material Plane to regress and lose a great majority of its technological advancements. Now the world has lost the invention of gunpowder and the bright gods have less of a hold upon the world. This has caused a great many forces to come forth to fight for control of the world.

Currently, the Material Plane is wrought with suspicion and secrets. Some forces have been controlling the world from the shadows causing the world to edge closer and closer to a world war. 5 alliances have risen across the world due to this. Now players navigate this complex political landscape across the alliances and the countries inside them.

Who knows how this age will end?

Currently, the world has taken place over 6 real years. It has involved 35 different players who played 70 player characters. These players have existed in 13 one-shots and 8 campaigns.
