Personal history
Akiros was raised in a small village by a family of farmers. By chance, one day a knight from the local chantry found Akiros playing with a stick as though it were a sword. The knight offered Akiros squirehood, which could lead to knighthood.
He quickly rose through the ranks of the chantry's knights, becoming one of their most respected paladins. During his final stretch of training, Akiros had his armor replaced by a local tanner, and fell head over heels for the man's daughter. The two began seeing eachother in secret. She was sworn to another, and he swore to celibacy until his knighthood.
Eventually, a jealous knight exposed the couple. The girl's father, in a bout of rage, accused Akiros of bedding his daughter. Before the chaplan or anyone else could react, Akiros's sword cut across the man's chest, cutting him down. He had no idea why he had done so, besides the rage in his heart, but Akiros knew he needed to retreat. He ran and became an outlaw.
Akiros did what he did to survive, which led him to banditry and robbery. He eventually joined up with the Stag Lord, as his personal strategist. But working for near-mad thug did not sit well with Akiros. So when Kressle and the PCs offered him an out, he took it.
He surrendered himself to the PCs' mercy, and they showed just that to him. He swore himself to their service. With Wulfric and Jhod's guidance, Akiros found himself back in the faith, and redeemed in the eyes of Erastil.
