Dreamseekers

The Dreamseekers is a very secretive group of worshipers dedicated to the eldritch god Kthup'drun, bringer of dreams. The followers of Kthup'drun believe that the only way of gaining ultimate knowledge of the cosmos and their own inner minds is through his often strange and twisted dreamscapes. General knowledge of this strange cult is scarce as they keep their holy scriptures close to their secluded order, however brave souls that have previously inhabited the cult sometimes manage to bring scraps of texts and bizarre rituals to the outside world.
Kthup'drun is a vast ever slumbering being. To his followers he is the key towards understanding the cosmos at large and their own often deluded minds. Through their rituals and dream-walks they wish to come closer to Kthup'drun as they believe the closer they get to his vast slumbering consciousness the more they will uncover of the cosmos at large. This belief leads them to undertake more and more rituals and dream-walks with the consequence of slipping further into their own dreaming minds, this inevitably leads some to go so far as an eternal sleep of their own. This eternal sleep is to them the height of unlocking their own awareness to the cosmos at large, it is unknown however if this actually indeed unlocks their awareness.
The Dreamseekers seem to be the least antagonistic of the eldritch cults however when recruiting people into their collective they often enter the dreams of would be initiates to preach their form of enlightenment. This experience of having ones mind invaded in this fashion is more often than not a traumatizing experience for their victims, those few that do accept their teachings become extremely loyal aside from very few strong willed mortals that later realize what has happened.
