Falyn
With a mind that is tough as nails and sharp as a knife, Falyn is the epitome of an ambitious Junior Fellow of IMP. But with her keen intellect and sharp instincts comes a strong generosity to her Fellows; partly because she is perfectly aware that research is not, on the whole, most effective as a solitary activity and partly because she genuinely wants everyone to perform the best they can and explore all that exciting new knowledge together.
One of the newest members of the Natural Society, she is nonetheless quickly gaining a name for herself. Her more experienced coworkers truly appreciate her contributions to the focus group, where they are attempting to breed a new barley species that is resistant to the barley blight. Due to her generosity, she is also popular amongst her fellow Juniors but her especial friend is Soren who joined the Natural Society not long before her and is part of a related focus group — one that is researching Blight Mesmerism; a magical technique for slowing or stopping blight infection.
Indeed, their friendship is so strong that she has proposed to accompany Soren on his journey in the hopes of discovering lost magical techniques on nature communion. For herself, although the journey carries a risk of a loss of reputation if they return empty-handed, she is confident that they will discover something sufficiently useful to have made the trip worthwhile; and the thought of such knowledge having been lost, despite the vast Society libraries, irks her.
