Doge

A doge is the title given to the elected representatives of each city within the Aubergine League. They are responsible for ensuring that their city honors the diplomatic, military, and trade agreements with other members of the league.

Appointment

Each city is allowed the freedom to establish their own rules for selecting a doge. Most cities opt for a democratic selection process, with some cities embracing universal suffrage while others limit the vote to the minimum number of citizens required by the league's charter. Twinford is the only city within the league for which the Doge is a hereditary position.
