Cheery Littlebottom
Cheery Littlebottom is the only known dwarf to outwardly identify as female in Ankh-Morpork. She immigrated to the city from Uberwald in search of a new life, finding most typical dwarven activities like mining and metalwork rather boring. Cheery bounced around a few different guilds including the Seamstress and Alchemist Guilds, where she ran into misunderstandings (the former) and blew up the Guild Hall (the latter), whereupon she was told to go elsewhere for a job.
Cheery entered the Watch as a forensic alchemist, where she encountered Captain Angua and the other female members. Discussions with them had her consider being true to herself and coming out publically as a woman, which was against all dwarven traditions so far. After being promoted to sergeant through good police work, and with an Igor on staff, her skills as an alcemist weren't needed as much; Cheery still sometimes encounters strange phenomena on the job, though.
Cheery is currently heading an investigation into the disappearances of multiple youths within Ankh-Morpork, collaborating with other volunteer teams headed by her coworkers from the Watch, such as Captain Carrot and Captain Angua.
