The Creation of The Warforged

“We have used magic to create the elements, we have used magic to create life, we have done science to do the same. This is not magic nor science. This is something far, far more horrific than Magic, nor science could ever create.” – Tolthe Glenwraek

The cause of The Great Disturbance. The Bringers of the end times. The Walking Apocalypse, the Warforged have been called many things by many individuals, but where some believe that the Warforged are evil and others believe they are divine will, everyone on Dioya agreed when the schematics of a Warforged were released with The Warforged Agreement that the race of humanoid robots were incredibly impressive.   The Warforged were brought into being during The Era of Change when the Hobgoblin Warlord and Grandmaster of the Ky Forces, Ky-Vol, inspired by a vision he saw from his Ancestor Vo-Alod, approached the leader of the Hobgoblins, Zo-Sultek. Vo-Alod promised Sultek a way to properly invade Midvail once the Hobgoblins crushed the Orcs. Sultek ordered Ky-Vol to execute this plan at his discretion. Ky-Vol traveled in secret to Korrvigsguard to meet with King Korrvigsguard IV and told him of the metal soldiers Vo-Alod showed him in his dream. Ky-Vol promised to keep Korrvigsguard safe when Midvail was invaded if he helped build these metal soldiers. He even offered the slave race of the Kobolds to help finish Korrvigsguard IV’s failed Great Tunnel project, a Tunnel system that was to connect all of Dioya. Korrvigsguard agreed to sign a deal out of both desperation to keep his city safe and to be seen as a hero by his people and signed what would eventually be known as The Warforged Agreement   The building of The Warforged commenced in The Great Tunnels in absolute secret. Dwarven Warlocks and Smiths would create the physical bodies of The Warforged and the Hobgoblin Ky would supply them with the gem they needed to be more than just well armored golems. 5 Years after the development of over 5000 Warforged, the knowledge of The Warforged Agreement became public when a group of adventuring bards known as The Kings of Leon snuck into The Great Tunnels, killed Hobgoblin Ky soldiers, and escape Korrvigsguard with a copy of the agreement helping establish The League of Every Organized Nation. The League was founded, greatly in part by the BiDivine champion of Galaxa, goddess of enlightenment who saw The Warforged as the harbingers of the destruction of Dioya. This fear spread throughout Dioya like wildfire and united many to The League, changing Dioya forever. The Warforged could be credited as bringing about The Great Disturbance, the Warforge spent most of their time motionless, unpowered, and standing tall until a powerful source brings them to life.
Complexity
The process of making a Warforged is an intricate one   A Warforged is brought to life via many different types of both magic and science that developed over the history of Dioya. Its structure is made of Evergreen root, a tough root grown by Druid or Warlock, likely of Dwarven decent.   A Warforged is equipped with Mithril-Steel alloy, an expensive and powerful material that consists of 95% Steel and 5% Mithril, just enough of the rarer material to make their armor immune to any spell less powerful than a 3rd level.   At the core of every Warforged’s head is a singular red gemstone. This gemstone is an Imprisonment stone created by the Hobgoblin Wizard Grandmaster Ky-Vol and it is where all the complexity of the Warforged operations are heald. Where a Golom is programmed by an inscribed spell within its armor or form a Warforged’s imprisonment crystal has such a large magical capability, it can retain memories and information, reproduce what they retain, develop a sense of self, and learn. Essentially, the Imprisonment Stone acts as a Warforged’s brain. The Imprisonment Stone must be powered for a Warforged to be activated, this can be done either by Devic Glove Magic or by imprisoning an individuals’ soul within the stone.
