Chapter 8: Forest Giants and Thinwafes

General Summary

They all wake up and notice that 4-Chains is gone.   When they check his room they find everything as if he was never there but a letter written on a napkin   "I needed a ranger, he'll be back soon."   If they flip it over:   "Unless he dies."   Sinclair, Urag, Berg'gdor, and the Kronta'bban clan say goodbye to the Kings of Leon     Berg'gdor warns the Kings to be on the lookout for bounty hunters and that when in PearlMyre, they should seek out the bounty hunters' guild to check of a bounty has been put on their heads by the Fendan family.   New Carriage with a lever chain reload inspired by Sycamore's design as well as better reinforcements.   Traveling from Forgevail to Pearlmyre:   Hill Giant from the forest.   HP: 100 AC:13   Punch: 2d6 Tree: 3d8 Rock: 3d10     They enter the Myretree forest, a massive plant that makes up the entire forest. Each tree that forms the thick canopy all share the same roots despite looking like individual trees.     Run into a group of Uprising members executing an old elf on the road.   Gnomes x 3   HP: 16 AC:16 ATK: 1d6   Hunters Mark X 6 + 1d6     Pearlmyre:     The city is elevated on the massive leaves of the Myretree with City center being located on the top of the Myretree's trunk. The residential buildings are painted white and in the shape of massive dewdrops. In the center of the trunk is a large, Deva' architecture inspired (but with many vines wrapped around supports) center as well as a few shops. The courthouse looks as if its built into a massive closed flower.   Does not look like there is any way to get to the base or really any of the other major leaves.   Perception: Each major leaf has a large, blue stone tower with elvish inscribed in it. "The Vines of Community"   A soldier can be talked to and he will bless a bow with Elven Resin which lets whomever fires activate ElfStone.   Elfstone bridge to the base can be summoned.   An ethereal, milky colored bridge forms from where you stand all the way up to the top of the trunk.   Beinan the Guard will not let them through unless they dress well.     The Threaded Needle:   Bilee the daughter of the threadmaster will provide them rental suits if they talk up her sewing skills.       In the Court of the Council of Three:     Groups of elves and some other races gather in a seating area, waiting for the representatives of the three families to arrive. They are all dressed in similar robes to you.   You are brought to the center of the room in front of three distinct podiums that have smaller seats behind each podium.     The Balifs standing on each side of the podiums hit their staffs on the ground, triggering total silence in the room, then the ceiling opens up, each petal unfurling until the building is opened up in full bloom.   Three ethereal doors appear in front of the podiums and from the far right building comes an old elf in silver robes. Behind him follow half-orc, half-humans, half-dwarf, Half-tiefling, and half-Tabaxi elves, taking seat behind him.   Second and on the left side, a Deva and Aasimar walk out. a woman and a man. They are dressed in golden robes and are followed by other Aasimar, most all pureblood with some half-elf half-aasimars.     The final group, a tired, middle aged elf in white robes. Behind her are other full blooded elves. They all have ornate and beautiful black tattoos of vines all across their bodies.     This elf speaks as the doors disappear. "The Council of Three now presides. Today we will listen to the words of?"     When all is said and done:   Tolthe of The Glynwraek: For   Emih and Heakril of The Aiwenor: Against   Ayda of The Glenspire: Undecided.   "This court will take a day to meet again."     Tolthe will rush to the Kings and talk with them, revealing that Ayada's son, Adhach has been missing for many weeks.

Notes

They did not kill the Forest Giant   They killed one member of The Uprising.   The Uprising now knows of The Kings of Leon as well as the plan to unite all the mortal races. (They will attack with the Warforged.)   The Council of Three know of Bilee's Deva inspired designes.   Qilee told Ryuk that if they solve what has made all the people disappear, he will get a hazelnut thinwafe named after him.   The Deva now know that the Kings of Leon are trying to unify the mortal races.
