Chapter 21: Set Sail for the South

General Summary

Wake up in Stheimisku to Gale knocking on the door.

Gale wakes them up and tells them to go north to a tavern and fetch her First Mate and Helmsman "You'll recognize them." She mentions that Gale's Grace will

Travel north down a road until they come across a nice little tavern by the shore with a hanging sign that has a sigil of a Dragonkin holding a platter.
As they approach the tavern, a Goblin is thrown out the window, sopping wet and with a black eye.
"Fucking blue skinned freaks!"
As they enter they see Meivas and Selasi surrounded by 10 Goblins with a bunch of people cheering.

The Kings of Leon decide to watch, with exception of Uul who casts levitate on a table and pins 3 goblins.
Meivas and Selasi kill most of the Goblins and when the remaining flee, Ryuk tries to hand one of them a Ryuk Jackson portrait, but the fleeing goblin trips on the body of his friend, and impales himself onto a the sharp edge of the portrait, slitting his jugular and spraying Ryuk and his portrait with Goblin blood. Ryuk offers the bloody portrait to the bar owner Xath, who takes it with joy and hangs it next to the portrait of Rick Steves eating at the Tavern. After some introductions are made between the two groups, they head outside.
As they leave, Gale's Grace is off shore.
A very brisk gust of wind blows from the ship and freezes a ramp that goes up into the ship
When they get aboard the ship, Gale positions the carriage beside a massive open fire pit full of wood
Gale introduces the Terramin company.
Recognizing how uncomfortable Saramir was at seeing Uul, Uul approached the working cabin boy and helped him with his chores, telling him that he is not a Ky, but a slayer of Ky. Uul gives him some of Sinclair's Secretary's Candy and wins the boy's favor.
Sycamore introduces himself to Rila, mentioning her impressive craftsmanship. He then proposes that she affix a spare canon on to the war carriage. Intrigued by the idea, Rila mentions to Sycamore that there are no spare canons, but if they find one she would be very interested in working that out. She then puts Sycamore to work on standard repair.
Ryuk and Uul have a conversation with Luro and find out he used to be the servant of the king of Greystone.
A FEW HOURS INTO SETTING SAIL

Ryuk gains access to the inner part of Vonros' ship and the gang buys:
Uul buys the Ky-Robe of Fast Spellcasting +2 Initiative
Ryuk buys the Bracelet of Blurring (All enemies must pass a perception of 10 before attacking directly.)
And a Dagger of Shadows: If he makes a successful hit on an enemy, he disappears for a moment.
But he sells Vonros the Scythe of Division.
They also by 8 Elf Ears, which are drugs:

ZOMOS COMPANY:
As soon as they see the Barnicle Barge Gale shifts the winds:
Anticipating a fight, Meivas casts a protective circle around Gale's Grace.
"alright Terramins, prepare for a little adventure. I want Zomos and I want him alive, Kill any of the other poor excuses for Tridents you see.

They speed towards the Barnicle Barge, Drifting to the left for Rila to make a chain reaction canon shot directly on to the ship, Uul enlarges one canonball the takes down the mast of the ship.
Gale rights the ship back on course and impacts with the Barnicle Barge, freeing hundreds of Saughin from the bottom who attack up on the ship.
Sycamore uses the impact of the ship to make a powerful jump to the Barnicle Barge and land on a Tritan soldier, killing him. Another Tritan lunges in to attack Sycamore but is taken out by Rila who blasts him away with a free canon.
Budrash, and the rest of the crew focus their fire on the invading Sauhgin and Tritans while Uul casts invisibility on himself and boards the Barnicle Barge. Ryuk, ordered by Gale to capture Zomos also jumps aboard the Barnicle Barge, fighting off Tritans.

Uul sneaks into Zomos' quarters just as he leaves dawning a suit of atlantian armor. Uul spots his chest and loots it to find the Cloak of Fire and the Primodial Elemental Egg as well as 500 gold.
In his chest is 500 Gold, An Orange Cloak, And a Large golden egg,

Cloak of Fire:
Immune to Fire Damage + When Activated Enemies who attack melee get 2d6 Fire Damage

IF THEY ARCANA they can tell the Egg has insane magical energy.

As soon as Ryuk sees Zomos, he polymorphs him into a goldfish and puts him in his pocket, not before Zomos yells that the Sauhgin are trying to summon their god.
Meivas casts Detect thoughts and picks up prayers from tons of creatures.
Uul listens to his bag of secrets and hears: "In a Sea that is not mine, I will Rise"
Suddenly, there is glowing in the water

Budrash boards the Barnicle Barge and he and Sycamore go below deck to find tons of dying and dead Saughin glowing blue.

The Sahuagin floating in the water turn into orbs and the whole water starts glowing.

A gigantic scaled creature with tentacles coming out of its back and many different jaws around 4 times the size of the ship, rising from the water and towering over Gale's Grace.
It's one massive eye focuses on the Ship.

GRLOVACRI

ATK: 1d20 Tenticle + 3d6 Poison Breath.


On Gale's order, Spotter climbs down the mast and shifts the sail horizontal. When Ryuk gets back with Zomos in his pocket, he is ordered by Gale to set the fire pit ablaze with burning hands, creating an updraft on the ship.
Gale amplifies this updraft with her magic, rising the Frigate from the water slowly.
Selasi focuses most of her attacks on GRLOVACRI who tries to douse her in acid, but she's immune to the acid.

As the boat rises from the water, Selasi casts Water Walk on the returning Kings of Leon.
As most of the crew flee back to Gale's Grace, a water walking Budrash breaks through the hull of the Barnicle barge to see the Grlovacri. Budrashs starts to attack it with minimal success.
Ryuk co-ordinates with Rila to fill a cannon with ball bearings, turning into a grape shot and fire it into the creature's eye, damaging it
In an attempt to damage the creature, Meivas engulfs himself in a Flame Sphere and charges into the massive eye of the creature.
Sycamore jumps aboard the carraige and fires a harpoon down to the base of Grlovacri so Budrash can climb aboard, but miscalculates and skewars Budrash, lifting him up and out of the water.
Uul casts grease onto the flame sphere Meivas, successfully burning the eye and sending the creature back, allowing the crew to escape. As Gale's Grace rises from the water, Budrash hangs from the rope shot and plays his banjo.
Uul stands atop the mast of the sinking Barnicle Barge and ignites his Cloak of Fire, Casting fly on himself and standing on the hanging body of Budrash as the gang flies off to saftey.
