Chapter 12: The Goat

General Summary

Stage 2
After the cheering dies down:
The stage starts to shift around the center of the stage and rotates up to show a massive mountainous zone.
"Defeating his doubts! Our soon to be king faced Mt. Korviggsguard. He had everything he needed to overcome the mountain, but perhaps the mountain...would overcome him! Bring in the Lord of the mountain!"
From the ceiling a griffon drops down but slowly shows that it is not recovering. It lands with a THUD on the ground beside the Kings with a message singed into its side.
"Uul"
"Uh...What is going on?!"

"Uh...well um with this challenge tampered with I think it's best to-
But a booming voice interrupts King Korrvigsguard
"NONSENSE! YOU CALL THESE TRIALS?!"
From beside Korrvigsguard stands Dyapu-Gav, Korrvigsguard and Varnoula, one leg over the banister.
"This is the first trial in decades! And look! They havnt been challenged yet! I WILL BE their challange"
"Well hold on what about tradi-"
Dyapu-Gav shoots him a look.
"Fair enough, as your King we will make a few changes, but the Trials continue!"
The crowd starts chanting Dyapu-Gav as he jumps down from the balcony. Chivl rolls in in Dyapu-Gav's Pillar Sword.

"Just one moment while we change terrain"
Dyapu-Gav raises a hand to silence the king "Don't Bother"
He snaps and stomps the ground, flattening the mountains down.
"Instead of facing the lord of the mountain, our challengers will take on the ultimate task by taking on, the mountain itself!"
Chanting of Dyapu-Gav continues.
Sigg retreats, raising his hand:
"Sorry guys. This fight is yours. I'm not going against him. I don't have a death wish."
Dyapu-Gav laughs: "Sigg is smart to run away. But the rest of you don't get to run. I've been waiting a looong time to fight 'The Kings of Leon' I was told allll about you. Let's see if you can make me-"
An arrow pierces Dyapu-Gav's shoulder. The crowd falls silent. He turns to the arrow and pulls it out turning to face to whomever shot the arrow.

Standing on the of the arena wall, both feet planted to the side is a figure in a black cloak with a goat's head affixed to the top. Many members of the audience start to cheer "Belbez Belbez Belbez" The cheering gets louder as Dyapu-Gav spits at the ground and grins "Well well I guess I can kill you all together"
As Belbez and Dyapu-Gav have a stare off, you all notice in Belbez's hands is a pitch black mythril Bow.


Dyapu-Gav Wins:
They wake up in the infirmary with Chivl standing over them. Uul' entire right arm and pectoral are now human.
King Korrvigsguard and Dyapu-Gav enter, Korrvigsguard tells them tough luck and that they are conducting a full investigation of who was responsible for killing the Griffon.
IF THEY SAY THE KY: Korrvigsguard asks them to leave the city since Uul is a Hobgoblin.

IF THEY WIN AGAINST DYAPU GAV:
"They told me you'd be easy!"
Gav charges toward them but disappears, they win the honor Korrvigsguard's Champions, discounts at all dwarven ware stores and the respect of most every dwarf.
They have court with Korrvigsguard who rejects their proposal still saying:
"The Dwarves have no issue with the Human and Elven cities, but we simply can't risk joining with them at this time. The Hobgoblins are our main priority right now and unless you can ally the Elves and the Humans against the Hobgoblins so we can unleash a counter-offensive on them when they breach the Threshold of Man, I refuse to risk the lives of my people."
"We also have a lot on our plate right now. The security in the Copper Arena needs to be remodeled and many of my top men are conducting a full investigation of a possible hobgoblin infiltration that interfered with the Trials. I recommend you leave Korrvigsguard."

When they are dismissed regardless, they are approached by Varnoula who tells them that something is fishy. She overheard Dyapu-Gav talking to her father about a contract and how it must not be broken no matter what. She then mentions that they have a system for crimes that allow them to see where a major crime will happen before it happens called The Sight. If someone was going to kill the Copper Arena Griffin, The Sight would have told them.

The Solas Crystal
On the air gondola, Virnoula tells them that she knows a way to The Great Tunnel but its all the way on the bottom of the mountain.
GONDOLA FULL OF SOLDIERS starts to decend.
The Sight turns to whomever is carrying her and repeats. The Gondola will fall. But I can catch us." over and over
when the Gondola is snapped, she casts Animate Object, causing the wire of the falling gondola to catch itself on a cliff before hitting the ground. The soldier's gondola falls to the ground.


The Great Tunnel Guarded by a Boulder Lord who asks:
"Ath othok Onol Nazush?"
"Are you Mountain Blood"
If they say yes he then says
"Udiz nazush gedor etar"
"Present the blood of the contract writer"
After some time the Boulder lord will look at Uul and sick his tongue out.

When they enter, the door shuts behind them and they can walk along the tunnels toward figures standing in the dark.
When they get closer they see rows and rows of 8 feet tall suits of armor filled with intertwined vines. The armor looks humanoid in nature, but the eyes are lifeless, whatever these creatures are, they are not alive.
A Dwarven warlock named Skogget approaches them.
"What are you doing down here!"
Skogget sees Uul and stands up "Oh! I'm terribly sorry sir! I did not mean to be rude! I had no clue that there would be more of you and that you would bring guests! Please, come right this way! and I can show you the latest progress on the acting enchantment."
Skogget brings the Kings over to a group of 3 dwarves sitting by a table taking a break. Most all of them are Wizards and warlocks. "We just received word that Kobald Group 9 has finally reached just under Galaxia! I don't envy those brutes one bit, but it looks like all those years of digging is finally going to come to an end for em!
If Skogget has the time he holds up a mote of magical energy projected from a rune with different orbs inside signifying specific active charms explains: "This latest rune really should be the last. We have invested all of our time in allowing squads to be given specific orders that also encourage group learning. Getting them to adapt to war is crucial if you plan on commanding all-out battles."
Skogget looks over "Ah there they are!"
When they turn around they see:
Ky-Voh and Ky-Lee.
Ky-Voh offers to fight with Uul 1 on one. or Voh, Lee, and One more.

If they choose not to fight 1 on 1 it is Ky-Voh, Ky-Lee, and 4 DWARVEN WARLOCKS
