Elleroy Tagert (“EL-roy TAG-ert”) is a Willough native, born and bred. He was fifteen when the city’s famous cadet school was founded, and has recently suffered the transition to the new ownership with some reservations. He serves as a master trainer and recruiter in Willough, and travels the Dearworth Valley recruiting new soldiers and securing posts for Academy graduates.
Elleroy is an expert craftsman of and collector of unique firearms, but knows next to nothing about the workings of airships. He loathes all forms of flight and prefers to travel by land, although this is not always practical.
He is a collector of ancient military gadgets, primarily handguns, and keeps a workshop in Sow Bridge, Willough, where he attempts to repair and recreate the mechanisms of a forgotten age. His work can be expensive and even unreliable, but is still beloved by the master hunters of the Valley.
Elleroy was married to limner Sale Genier (SAL-lee jen-EAR) from 1532-1539. Sale now lives in Tenpin with their two sons Erik and Gerard. Elleroy has not heard much from his family in the last five years, and dearly wonders how his young sons are getting on. They would be 15 and 18 in the year 1554.
