County Willough

In the hills above the Weterbranch River sits the logging town of Willough. Established as a logging camp in 1398, the town soon grew into a metropolis as residents from Fannuck, Egar, and other low-lying towns took this opportunity to move to higher ground.
As a newer city, Willough has no real city center, no Cachets or Sains. Its jury-built wooden buildings with their false fronts and lean-to additions sprawl up and down the hills at Catches Bend and Gowers Lake.
Willough spent many years as a lawless, rough town, where street duels and back-alley murders were commonplace. But as the city grew, it reacted to the stresses of expansion with a strict system of laws, and nothing short of a training camp for lawmen. Today Willough boasts a constabulary unmatched in Skye.
Established in 1525, the Ketcher-Tomin Cadet Corps quickly became the training ground and sky marshals from all over the Dearworth Valley, and Willough Men (or Willow Men) became synonymous with hard-fighting lawmen. To “Bend like a Willow” is a common phrase, implying that the subject is unbreakable.
In 1542 the Ketcher-Tomin Cadet Corps was renamed the Ketcher Academi Militair, usually known as simply “The Academy” This change was the work of a new silent partner, Duch Wilem Hightower. Since that time The Academy has served as a recruiting ground for Wilem Hightower and now for his daughter Anna.
Camfor Clocks: Originally from Fannuck, the famous Camfor family are now doing business in Willough. They are renowned as the makers of the world’s finest spring-driven clocks.
