Adam Walsh

Adam Walsh, MHR (born 4/4/446) is a Devonian Conservative politician, and currently Majority Leader in the House of Representatives.

Career

First elected as an MHR in 480, at the young age of 23, he was elected leader of the Conservative Party in 494, when Chris Morse resigned in order to contest the 295 Regency Election.

Policies

Towards the more liberal end of the Conservative Party, he supported the legalisation of same sex marriage and supports the decriminalisation of cannabis, although he has publicly stated that he does not believe legalisation is politically viable at the present time. This latter position has led some in A Green Devonia and the Liberal Socialist Party, notably including Minority Leader Maria Devereux, to call him cowardly for not trying to do it anyway. Economically Walsh is very much a free market capitalist, and has continually pushed for lower corporation taxes, a position which is not universally accepted by his coalition partners in New Devonian Century and some of his own back benchers.
