Gedira Empire

The dwarven constitutional empire. Has a an emperor, but also a prime minister. A lot of Byzantine but also a bit of Britain and the Netherlands. High population density and quality of living.

Structure

The emperor is following a line of succession however the emperor has no power. The prime minsters are elected democratically, with a good amount of meritocracy. Still there is a lot of bureaucracy and some corruption.

Quite rich, in gold and resources. Also has large airship industry,

History

Before the Elven War there was the dwarven civil war, which was one of main reasons the elves attacked when they did. In the Elven War, the Gedira Empire was the main battleground and took terrible damage. The empire recovered and to outsiders it remains similar since. Many changes has happened on the inside however and the absolute rule of the emperors was removed.

Demography and Population

20 million, mostly Dwarf but also humans, half elves, gnomes and halflings. The empire is densely populated.

Territories

The southwestern part of the Irathian mainland. Mostly hilly and mountains terrain, but with great plains and farmlands. These lands have been hold for a long time.

Military

The dwarven military is one of the largest on the continent and is efficiently organized. Furthermore the dwarves have a large airship industry only rivaled by the Limrim Republic.

The dwarves are generally religious however, their citizens are free to chose for themselves.
