Nikolay Salkov

Nikolay "Kolya" Salkov is an old Human Nightstalker who was Risen in Siberia by his Ghost Othello not long after the Collapse. He lived for several years in the ruins of the village of Kemevostok alongside his friend Alexei Kolashkov; later, he and Othello would travel around Earth collecting historical information and conducting archaeological research. Although he has mostly worked alone throughout most of his career, he is still recognizable by people in some settlements across the planet by his exceptional height and distinctive armor, which resembles the clothing of a plague doctor. 
Kolya is mute and has been since he was Risen, seemingly due to some form of injury or disease that caused the paralysis of his vocal cords. He communicates either by sign language or by using Othello as a voice.
