A Brokensword Writ is the highest form of civil threat in Breland. It's a national arrest warrant issued directly by the Liege of Breland. Brelish historians have noted that the issuance of high numbers of Brokensword Writs correlate with periods of civil strife in Brelish history, but opinions differ on whether they're a consequence or a cause.
