Tyr'aria Toriori

Tyr'aria Toriori (a.k.a. Rari)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Rari has a lithe build and is of ordinary height. Her sleek, curving horns, brilliant amber eyes with slit pupils, and rich ruby-red scales all show her draconic lineage. Although she lacks the strong physique that comes from a life of martial combat, her lovely feminine form is reminiscent of her mother's.

Special abilities

Because she is descended from red dragons, Rari possesses a unique set of abilities that give her distinct advantages in different situations. Her ability to release a brilliant cone of intense flames is one of her most remarkable abilities. The majority of targets hit by this breath weapon are ingnited or burned when it projects in a cone shape over a distance of about ten yards. Rari also has the strong, shining scales of her forebears, which shield her from all but the strongest kinds of heat and fire.

Personal history

A few months into her new life as a gladiator, Kuni became aware of the fact that she was pregnant. From the timeframe given, she determined that Vriess must have been the father, conceived just before their final adventure together.   She consulted with some of the halfling servants she had befriended to determine what sort of fate would await her unborn child. It was revealed to her that, as she was currently enslaved as a gladiator, her child would be born into slavery and taken from her. She could not allow this to happen and began making preparations to both hide her pregnancy and have the child taken far from the Kingdom of Korma to retain her freedom.   Half a year later, Tyr'aria was born human in secret and sequestered away from her mother and her birthplace. She was raised in an elemental refuge that was once briefly home to her mother in her youth. Care was taken to protect the child from the harsh environment of the refuge, which was otherwise harmless to its denizens.   Tyr'aria experienced the first signs of her Dulaagi transformation not long after her twelfth birthday. As soon as it was clear that her awakening bloodline was that of red dragons, she was moved to another elemental refuge for those with ties to the element of fire. There, she was taught to harness her fire for the good of herself and the safety of others.   On her fifteenth birthday, Tyr'aria was given a package sent with her as a child. It contained a black Dulaagi scale and a note detailing Kuni's plight, the steps taken to save Tyr'aria, and revealing her father's identity: Vriess Labhradha of the Legion of Valorhall.   After reading the letter, Tyr'aria decided she would find her father and force him to assist her in finding and freeing her mother from bondage. When she explained her newfound purpose to the people of the refuge, they were shocked to learn that she was a second-generation Dulaagi; such a thing was so rare as to be practically unheard of. They took it as a sign that she was destined for greatness and did what they could to prepare her for her journey. Just a few months shy of her sixteenth birthday, Tyr'aria set out alone to face the world, find her father, and reunite with her mother.   She makes contact with the Legion of Valorhall and makes a successful bid to join them. She keeps her true origins and purpose a secret to avoid tipping off her father, in case he intends to flee upon discovery.
