The Violent Pastures

The Violent Pastures, located in the northeastern continent known as the Wildlands, is a vast expanse of flat plains known for its fertility and suitability for farming. Its name, however, reflects the turbulent nature of the surrounding cultures, each vying to claim the land for their respective peoples.   The Pastures are surrounded by three prominent kobold nations: Umoth, Juhraya, and Nivoch. These kobold societies, each with their own customs and traditions, compete fiercely for control of the fertile land, each seeking to establish their dominance and secure resources for their communities.   In addition to the kobold nations, the orc nation of Praxis also borders the Violent Pastures. Known for their warrior culture and fierce territorial instincts, the orcs frequently clash with the kobold nations and vie for control of the region. Their constant fighting adds to the turbulent nature of the region.   In addition to the land borders, the Violent Pastures are bordered by an inland sea, across which lies the dusk elf nation of Khitomer. Seeking to expand their influence and resources, the dusk elves have made several attempts to establish a colony within the grasslands. These ventures have always been met with conflict and disaster, adding another layer of tension and violence to the region.   The constant conflict and rivalry between these cultures creates an atmosphere of unrest and danger within the Violent Pastures. Despite its agricultural potential, the land remains a contested territory where battles are fought and each group strives to assert its dominance over the fertile plains.

Geography

The Violent Pastures, a vast territory, is characterized by fertile plains dotted with several lakes and streams. Along the western edge of these plains is a coastal area where the land meets the sea, forming a border between the nations of Juhraya and Nivoch. In addition, the plains extend to the western and southern shores of an inland sea.   The terrain of the Violent Pastures is primarily flat, with only a few notable hills scattered throughout the landscape. The lack of significant elevation changes contributes to the open and expansive nature of the region. A sparse distribution of trees is observed, with the presence of these woody plants scattered across the plains.
