Emotional Energies

In the world of Dessend, psionics rely on energies generated by the mind. Originally, these energies were derived from basic emotions. However, as creatures evolved to become more sophisticated and intelligent, they began to experience more intricate emotions that generate these energies in varying combinations and concentrations.
There are five types of emotional psionic energy: Anxious, Ecstatic, Melancholic, Tantric, and Vehement.

Manifestation

Anxious Energy

It arises from emotions such as fear and anxiety, and it is represented as green on the emotional spectrum.

Ecstatic Energy

It is generated by emotions such as joy and amusement, and is depicted as yellow on the emotional spectrum.

Melancholic Energy

It is linked to emotions such as sadness and grief, and is represented as blue on the emotional spectrum.

Tantric Energy

It arises from emotions of love and lust, and is displayed as violet on the emotional spectrum.

Vehement Energy

It is produced by emotions of anger and passion, and is shown as red on the emotional spectrum.

Complex Emotions

More advanced and intelligent creatures are capable of experiencing a wider range of emotions, which can generate psionic energies in various combinations. For example, when Vehement Energy is combined with Ecstatic Energy, it can produce emotions such as excitement or anticipation. However, when Vehement Energy is combined with Melancholic Energy, it can produce emotions such as frustration. Another example is that when Melancholic Energy is combined with Anxious Energy, it produces emotions such as regret.
