  Blood Angels forces fleeing from the Eastern Redoubt aim to secure an abandoned Mechanicum outpost as a landing zone to evacuate injured survivors and resupply armoured elements but are set upon by a reaving Sons of Horus warband seeking vengence and bloodshed after their own assault had failed.

  Blood Angels forces fleeing from the Eastern Redoubt aim to secure an abandoned Mechanicum outpost as a landing zone to evacuate injured survivors and resupply armoured elements but are set upon by a reaving Sons of Horus warband seeking vengence and bloodshed after their own assault had failed.
  Transports ferrying troops to the landing zone are harassed by skirmishing light armour, despite the valiant efforts of ancient Haelios to suppress the headlong charge.
  Only by the heroic intervention of Chaplain Araphael, and a massive jump-pack assault into the Sons of Horus' front lines, are the survivors able to escape.
