Instalixir

Instalixir is a company that provides flavoured powder-based drinks, meant to be added to asteroid water to detract from its metallic and salty taste. The powders are often bright neon colours, giving sweet or sour tastes to the water. These tastes are somewhat weak, requiring a full packet or sometimes two to actually fully detract from the taste of the asteroid water, to those with functioning taste buds.

Instalixir targets their advertisements to lower-class individuals living on stations, the most likely to have their sole water source the asteroid ice provided to them. They make their products slightly addictive and required in larger doses to actually function, in order to increase the chances of people coming back to them for more. They will have frequent "discounts", which will list the markdown price as the previous price but include a crossed-out version of a higher price. Instalixir also tries to make it seem as though they are popular in the higher classes, in the hopes that lower-class folk trying to imitate wealth will buy from them.
