Apraati Mind Magic

Apraati have been gifted with deep understanding in the workings of the mind and their mind fabric reflects this. They can conjure it in the air and flash it at others to impose their mind onto them. This influences the minds of those the soul fabric overpowers.

The apraati can conjure their mind fabric to influence others around them. Those who are weak willed will be dominated by the concept expressed by the apraati. Simple thoughts have a greater chance of asserting themselves. The mind fabric's shape and colour will change depending on the thought the apraati wishes to express.

They can also meld their soul fabric into the mind of another to fully enter that person's mind. This is often done consensually by apraati who are especially close, such as family, friends and lovers. It can however be enforced onto another a weaker mind. When an apraati is fully in the mind of another they have full access to that person's mind. They can interact and tamper with memories. They could copy that mind. The effected individual can always feel the pressenece of a Apraati in their mind. If there are multiple Apraati influencing the individual at once, it feels as though their brain is pushing against their skull. If there are 3 or more at once, it may feel as though their brain will explode, in fact there are some cases where this has occured.

I like using Cerebral as a root for this magic system as that word is defined as "of or relating to the cerebrum or the brain." and "involving intelligence rather than emotions or instinct" which i think speaks to the core of this magic system. Apraati implant thoughts into the minds of others not emotions.

Interacting with the Giant's Realm

As an Apraati peers into more creatures minds, they can start threading together the collective conciousness of the world and discover the giants realm as a whole. After a certain point, an apraati who has threaded together enough connections can send their mind fabric high into the sky to interface with the Giant's Realm. Once they see the Giant's Realm, the apraati can send their conciousness out from their home world and discover other planets where there is a concentration of conciousness. Planets such as Willum and those in the Eclipsia system. Additionally, as their skill increses they can begin to understand the Giants themselves and act as a bridge between the mortal plane and the Giant's Realm.
